One & A Half Year In the Shelter
A dog that spends a lot of time at a shelter is better prepared to adjust to its environment. This might not necessarily indicate a successful outcome, though. A dog in a shelter would need to occasionally share a cell with other dogs, which limits its prospects for socialization. At this point, Benji had spent around 1.5 years in the animal shelter. Everyone who came to the shelter to adopt him fell in love with him and wanted to take him home, even though he was no longer a puppy but still looked like one.

Adopted A Lot
Some animals are more likely than others to find new homes. Being still a young child and having a cute appearance made Benji very lucky. Because puppies are so beautiful, adopting one is simpler than adopting another animal. Contrary to popular belief, Benji did not spend nearly as much time at a shelter during the prior 18 months. In less than two weeks, he would be adopted if he were available and here. In contrast, his adoptive parents frequently gave him back to his biological family.
