When the clock struck ten, John gingerly unlocked the bathroom door and glanced outside. The coast appeared to be clear. With his heart racing, he strolled into the corridor, attempting to appear natural. He dashed for his boss’s office, avoiding eye contact with everyone. Every stride felt heavy, and every look in his direction was a possible threat to his goal. But he needed to move forward.
