Belongings
The inheritance was the next significant matter that needed to be handled after the funeral. Sara was not wealthy in the least, and she had specified in writing that Lydia would inherit everything from her before she passed away. Lydia had one thing she wanted to find, though.
Finding the Ring
She was still thinking about the burial attendant’s remark concerning her mother’s ring. Since then, Lydia had known she had to find it because it was likely the object with the greatest emotional significance to her. Sara had worn it almost daily. Finding it, though, was proving to be more of a hassle than a blessing.
