Illinois – Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986)
There’s a reason this film is known as the “defining film of Generation X.” Matthew Broderick inspired an entire generation to enjoy a luxurious day off. To be honest, we can’t say we blame them. This is one of the best teen films ever made, and it was shot in Chicago. Did you know that the actor who played Cameron was about 30 years old when the movie was made? Hearing that is pretty disturbing!
Indiana – A Christmas Story (1983)
You probably don’t know much about Indiana, but we’re sure you’ve seen this Christmas movie. Allow us to explain what it’s about if you haven’t seen it yet. Ralphie persuades his teacher, parents, and Santa to obtain him a Red Ryder BB rifle as a Christmas present in this film set in the 1940s. Trust us when we claim that it’s the ideal holiday film!
