One particular morning, Benji was the first person in his family to get out of bed. They looked everywhere in the home for him, but they couldn’t find him. Stacy grew tense. By mistreating Benji, she betrayed the shelter’s confidence in her. What was going on? Benji either ran away or something else happened. She took a week off from work to look for Benji without telling anyone. To start her hunt, she unsuccessfully enquired of each of her neighbors whether they had seen the dog. Benji was nowhere to be seen, and it appeared that he had simply disappeared. Stacey was upset by this.
