On the walk back to his house, Benji didn’t give Stacy a single glance. She knew it would take a lot of work to rebuild this poor puppy’s faith in people and turn him back into the happy, contented dog he once was. Stacy was first confident she could finish the job, but she soon realized her optimism was misplaced. Benji wasn’t the family’s first puppy, and they had a lot of dog-related things before. Three more were already wandering the house. Due to his diminutive size, Benji was the group’s shortest member. There was still an issue, even though they couldn’t figure out what was upsetting them. But Benji was acting oddly.
