Ronald Reagan – 141.9
Ronald Reagan served as President of the United States from 1981 to 1989, becoming the country’s 40th president during that time period. He also created a name for himself with his Reaganomics economic concept, which was carried out throughout the Reagan era, among other things. Lowered social spending, deregulation of domestic markets, increased military spending, and a broad variety of tax savings were among the key points of the plan. According to his fellow presidents, Reagan had an IQ of 141.9, which put him somewhere between the bottom quarter and the top quarter and a half of the class. Aside from that, he should be given credit for both the Iran-Contra issue and for bringing the Cold War to a close. It was his legendary speech at the Berlin Wall, during which he implored Soviet General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev to “tear down this wall!” that established him as a legend.
Reagan’s Assassination Attempt
President Ronald Reagan was assassinated on March 30, 1981, in an attempt carried out by John Hinckley Jr., who was killed in the process. The would-be assassin did not attempt to assassinate the president because he wanted to impress the young actress Jodie Foster, who happened to be in the room, contrary to common belief. President Barack Obama was struck by a ricocheted gunfire, but he was able to escape with minor injuries. “I didn’t remember to duck,” he’d confess to his wife a few days after the incident.
