Dismissive stepdad
My stepfather, intrigued but arrogant, disregarded my hints as insignificant. “What could you possibly have up your sleeves? A new dress? “Big deal,” he would say, rolling his eyes. His dismissive attitude just helped me, as he remained unaware. Every day, I saw him gain confidence in his control over the house. Little did he realize, his arrogance was blinding him to the approaching storm. Everything was coming into place seamlessly.
