Their thoughts went back to old-school horror films, stories in which demonic activity were responsible for a terrible odor. This, however, was a true story. Is it not possible that there existed a rational explanation that did not involve divine intervention?

In their own home, James and Mandy both experienced feelings of anxiety. After evacuating the kitchen, they moved their dinner to the dining room, which was the room with the least amount of foul odor. In spite of this, they were unable to take pleasure in their meal because of the odor.
