Team Effort
With this project’s scope, it’s only logical that a vast amount of people would be involved in seeing it through. Thousands, if not hundreds, of people, are working to ensure that everything is done correctly and successfully, as you can see in this picture. Not to mention without jeopardizing anyone’s life. Even though automation is used for the bulk of the work, there are a few tasks that people cannot accomplish on their own.

It’s a dangerous period to be in, and so many things can go wrong at any moment. This is the first time since 2001 that the canal has been drained. Understandably, such an event will be exciting, particularly if it only occurs once every decade or so. The team must make multiple preparations to carry out such a large mission. It would be difficult for the municipality to obtain any of the required machinery and equipment.
