Charles began to feel anxious as the wedding date approached. Sally Beddel Smith (royal biographer) said in her book about Prince Charles that Charles was still in love with his ex-girlfriend Camilla Parker-Bowers. His father pressured him to marry Diana and cease his relationship with her. The Prince, according to Smith, cried the night before Diana’s wedding. Charles renewed his affair with Camilla in front of the entire world when Prince William and Harry were born.
