The security guard watched in silence as John cleared out his locker. “Tell him he’s making a big mistake,” John instructed, handing up his zookeeper uniform. The guard nodded, realizing the gravity of the situation. John’s relationship with the animals was well known, and his dismissal seemed like a loss for more than just him. But John was adamant that this wasn’t the end. He’d find his way back.
