Maria had to address this problem on her own, which she found difficult. She cleared her throat as if something was hurting her, hoping the girl would notice and adjust her hair without Maria having to address her any further. The girl did nothing, much to her dismay.

She then leaned over to the left side of the chair in front of her and politely requested that the girl move her hair. “I’m sorry to bother you, but your hair is almost hanging in my drink.” All Maria got was silence. She was curious if the girl was listening to music, so she delicately tapped her shoulder and asked again.
