The canal was completed for the very first time in 2001. They were able to remove over 40 tons of waste from the river at the time. Bullets, bombshells, and gold pennies from the First World War were among the valuable finds. Also, they discovered a car from the same period. That hasn’t happened in quite some time. What else would they come across in the water?
