Two more canals were built for the same purpose in the years that followed. The Canal Saint-Denis and the Canal de l’Ourcq were being built by the authorities. Above it had a 3.4-meter diameter and a 108-kilometer length. It ran from Port-Aux-Perches to the Bassin de la Villette, from where it joined the Canal Saint-Martin. It’s helpful to note that they’re all hundreds of years old.
