Maud Adams
There were years when European models and actresses were cast in Bond films. Then, things were switched up and American-born leading ladies were seen in several films. However, Swedish-born Maud Adams brought back a European flair to the Bond series once again. She played a minor character in the 1974 Bond classic, The Man with the Golden Gun. Then in 1983, Adams played the title role, Octopussy, in another James Bond film.

It seems like The Man with the Golden Gun needed many Swedes since aside from Maud Adams being in the cast, Swedish-born actress, Britt Ekland is also in the movie. Before Ekland landed the role of Mary Goodnight, James Bond’s assistant, she had already established a prominent acting career. Her turn in the film only helped her reach newer heights. She continued to act in the 1990s and appeared in over 40 movies.
