The Fly, their remake of the iconic horror film, is a resounding failure. They made the film specifically to assist Geena in establishing her professional career. Because of the failure, she was on the verge of being ruined financially and socially.

A promotional video for the Women’s Sports Foundation’s struggle for gender empowerment in sports features the well-known actress in this scene. Despite the fact that she continues to perform on occasion, Geena now devotes the majority of her time to activism. She’s even started a center to research gender stereotypes in the media, which she hopes to open soon. There were 300 hopefuls for a spot on the women’s Olympic archery team in 1999, and she was one of them. If Disney decides to sell the Hunger Games brand, she may be cast as a more mature Katniss Everdeen.
