During the filming of Dukes of Hazzard, Catherine Bach’s acting career took a turn for the worse. She was most likely typecast for the role, making it impossible for her to be cast in subsequent television shows or films. Another argument is that she had fulfilled all of her career goals as an actress in the film industry and wished to spend more time with her two children as a result of her success. Since then, she has largely appeared in supporting roles in television shows. She has, however, collaborated with the Debenhams retail chain in the United Kingdom to launch her jewelry collection. In April 2010, her ex-husband, Peter Lopez, committed himself by shooting himself in the head.
