“The Only Way Is Essex” is a British show about gorgeous women and lean mean men from the county of Essex. However, James Argent was unique. He was a little heavier than the typical “TOWIE” stars, and while this didn’t make him any less gorgeous, physicians wanted him to understand that if he didn’t lose weight, he could die. He attempted several things, including participating in the “Sugar Free Farm” show. However, none of this helped him lose weight until he had a gastric bypass in 2017. Since having the operation, Argent has shed 98 pounds. He also plans to enhance his fitness as part of his lifestyle transformation.
