His Stutter
When he was on 60 Minutes, he revealed that he had a stutter when he was a kid. Luckily, school helped as did speaking to his dog. In 2006, he opened the Tiger Woods Learning Center. His old stutter only became common knowledge when he took the time to write a note to a suicidal boy. He said, “I know what it’s like to be different and to sometimes not fit in. I also stuttered as a child and I would talk to my dog and he would sit there and listen until he fell asleep. I also took a class for two years to help me, and I finally learned to stop.”

In November 2009, there was a story released by the National Enquirer. It claimed that he was having an affair with a New York City nightclub manager with the name Rachel Uchitel. She denied this allegation. It was two years later that Woods collided with a tree, a fire hydrant, and hedges close to his home. He needed to get minor facial lacerations treated and received a careless driving ticket. This attracted lots of attention, although Woods claimed sole responsibility and said it was a “private matter”. He also thanks his wife for her help. Several days later, he said he would not join tournaments until his injuries heal.
