Rushing unnoticed
When the clock struck ten, John gingerly unlocked the bathroom door and glanced outside. The coast appeared to be clear. With his heart racing, he strolled into the corridor, attempting to appear natural. He dashed for his boss’s office, avoiding eye contact with everyone. Every stride felt heavy, and every look in his direction was a possible threat to his goal. But he needed to move forward.
Office door locked
John arrived at his boss’s office, his breathing short and rapid. He looked around nervously, making sure no one was watching, before reaching for the doorknob. To his disappointment, it was locked. He tried a couple more times, hoping for a miracle, but the door would not move. Standing there, he knew he had not prepared for this. Panic started to creep in as he pondered what to do next.
