Faith Hill, a fellow country star, tried out to be one of Reba’s backup singers for her tour but was ultimately rejected. Nonetheless, she was spared death in the tragic airplane crash of 1991. She survived being rejected as a member of Reba’s backup band, and she went on to become a major country star in her own right.
