Starting the speech
I began my address by thanking everyone for attending and reminiscing about the house’s history. I talked about my early recollections and the times my true father and I spent inside these walls. The guests were taken in and smiled as they heard the anecdotes. My stepfather’s attention was slipping, and his smug expression indicated that he thought this was merely a sentimental ramble. Little did he realize that this was simply the start of my unveiling.
