There was a tense wait before Linda spoke in a cold tone. “Oh, Samantha. Don’t worry, I’ll be there. And I’m sure you’ll all love the day as much as I do.” Linda hung up after that frightening comment, leaving Samantha furious and frustrated. Samantha knew Linda wouldn’t give up easily and the thought of what she might have planned sent shivers down her spine. But she was determined not to let her mother-in-law spoil this precious occasion for her and Jeremy. She would do everything to ensure that the gender reveal party went off without a hitch.
