Why Cats Cry at Night

While you’re sleeping, your cat is normally wandering around the home. They are much more active at night, which is typically OK until they start howling and wake you up. These wails are produced when a cat attempts to catch prey inside the house. If they can’t find any mice or insects to leap on, they may wail in frustration. There isn’t much you can do to stop this weeping except play with your cat throughout the day so it is exhausted at night and sleeps when you do.
